Tokyo may be a concrete jungle, but it’s also home to breathtaking green spaces that provide a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. On this tour, I’ll take you to three locations that showcase the balance between urban life and nature—starting with the majestic Rikugien Garden, moving to the stunning Koishikawa Korakuen, and ending at the iconic Imperial Palace Gardens.
This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!
Meeting Point
JR Yamanote Line - Komagome Station
- We can meet at Komagome Station’s South Exit, or I can pick you up from your location and take you there.
Rikugien Garden
Rikugien is one of Tokyo’s most beautiful traditional gardens, designed in the Edo period as a landscape-style stroll garden.
Walk along winding paths that reveal picturesque views at every turn.
Cross charming stone bridges and visit a teahouse hidden within the garden.
Learn about the history of Japanese garden design and how it reflects seasonal beauty.
After enjoying Rikugien, we’ll take a short train ride to our next stop.
Koishikawa Korakuen
Koishikawa Korakuen is another historical garden, but with a mix of Japanese and Chinese influences.
Admire the contrast between the tranquil garden and the modern Tokyo Dome in the background, walk around the pond, designed to represent miniature landscapes from famous locations in Japan. If you’re feeling adventurous, we can stop by a small family-run soba restaurant nearby for lunch.
From here, we’ll take the train to Tokyo Station and walk to our final destination.
Imperial Palace Gardens
Our final stop is the iconic Imperial Palace Gardens, a vast green space in the heart of Tokyo.
Visit the famous Nijubashi Bridge, a symbol of the Imperial Palace, walk along the preserved moats and ancient stone walls. Enjoy a peaceful moment away from the crowds while soaking in the history of Japan’s imperial past.
We will probably be hungry by then, so we can check out the old stalls under the railroad, or if you fancy something more classy, there are several restaurants around the neighborhood.

I am from Venezuela, with roots in the US and Sweden. I have lived in Tokyo now almost 10 years! I am a musician and very social by nature. Because I've been in Tokyo so long I know Japanese fluently, and I have had time to discover many places only locals would find. If you choose me I'm sure you will have a time you won't soon forget!
