Tokyo Tour Reviews

Amazing car tour

My friend and I booked a custom car tour with Tan and she was amazing! She made travel easy and showed us some wonderful sights in Tokyo. I will definitely book with her again when I come back. She’s really educated on the history and details of Tokyo so we learned a lot.

6 plus tour that covered the many cultural and historical aspects with culinary experiences.

Keiko was warm ,friendly and welcoming to our group of 4. Keiko demonstrated a deep knowledge of ancient history and culture of the areas we visited. She imparted excellent knowledge with very good English and was very easy to understand and communicated to our group effectively. Keiko also assisted us in becoming familiar with the transport system which has been invaluable. We would highly recommend Keiko O as a a guide for all that visit Japan. Thankyou Keiko O.

Maxine-san, thank you very much for your lovely comments! I very much enjoyed walking and talking with all of you, as I have also learned a lot from our interactive communications. It will indeed be my pleasure if I could be of help to deepen your understanding of Japan, and hopefully to contribute to increasing Japan fans. I wish you an enjoyable stay!

Wonderful first day!

We had a wonderful first day in Tokyo with Keiko. She met us early at our hotel and taught us a bit about the subway, which I had asked her to do, and gave us a few handy maps. We headed to Tsujiki Market togehter, and on the way stopped at Tsukiji Honganji Temple and learned about this Buddhist site. Then at the market Keiko explained *so much* about the fish market history, the fish industry, the different fish, spices, food preparation snacks -- with tastings along the way, and even some incredible beef as well. She took us into a few food-related shops to explain even more about food preparation. Then we headed to Meiji and learned so much about Buddhist and Shinto customs, along with history of emperors, samurai and shogun. Next, we headed to Harajuku / Takeshita street -- at first I wasn't sure I "needed" to see much of this street, but Keiko showed us its fun and charm, explaining the youth culture involved there. We ended at Shibuya Crossing, with Keiko going above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get back to our hotel on the subway. Keiko has excellent English communication and is a lovely woman and guide. You will have a wonderful experience with Keiko!

Jacqueline-san, Steve-san, thank you very much for your wonderful comments. You have been planning your trip to minute details, and after a long period of collecting various information of Japan, you finally arrived in Tokyo armed with extensive knowledge of our city and customs. I am sure you are now feeling quite confident in navigating in this mega-city. For our second day, I will show you more of our landmarks and hidden gems, so let's brave the rain!
