“Fun Energy & Great Food”

We contacted Carrie with a last minute effort to fill one of our open/unplanned days in Yokohama with more than us strolling around, wondering where some of the fun places Yokohama has to offer. Carrie responded to our initial message quickly and after a brief look at her schedule, she was able to accommodate our tour request. She offered two meeting locations and arrived about 10mins early (we only know that cause we arrived 20mins early, not being 100% sure of our train commuting skills lol). We decided on a day (4 hour) tour of ChinaTown and let me tell you, we could have explored 6-8 hours with Carrie’s guidance. She started off telling us about the gates at the entrance/exits to begin our tour and then it was food option after food option! (Come to ChinaTown hungry, very hungry… like skip dinner the night before kinda hungry). We stopped in to have our birth dates explored and explained our past, present, and futures (which was spot on for the most part! Eek) After sampling some more tasty treats, Carrie took us to two different temples, each having different meaning, which she explained in great detail that we appreciated. Afterwards, we enjoyed a tea set and an array finger foods at a local spot and finished our tour with a 30min foot massage. All in all, we had an amazing day with Carrie. She has a great bubbly and lively vibe, is talkative (but not too much), and willing to share all her favorite spot in ChinaTown. We definitely recommend her as a guide and will be using her in the future when we return to Japan!!

“Fantastic day out ...”

We had an awesome day tour with Shin. The day was challenging due to heat and physical limitations. Shin was very patient, had everything organised and planned, and made sure we were ok throughout the day. We had some interesting conversations and he had a genuine interest in you. You could not hope to meet a nicer person. Thankyou for your time Shin san, it was a pleasure to spend the day with you and we look forward to meeting you again.

Noaya san is an awesome guide. We have several tours with him. Every day he explains where we are going and plans for the day. Very organized. Speaks really good English. Has proven to be our best guide. He is very intelligent, knowledgeable and very nice. You will have a great time with him. These pictures are not necessarily about today's trip just fyi.

Today we went around Yokohama. Thank you for your compliments. Yokohama was one of the first ports to open to the world when Japan began to open up at the end of the Edo period. On the other hand, the Minato Mirai area has undergone recent development and offers a modern perspective. You enjoyed the view from the Sky Cabin and shopping at the Red Brick Warehouse. In Chinatown, you visited the Guan Yu Temple and enjoyed Chinese food. We have made some good memories. And let's remember the warm words of the fortune teller at the end. Naoya
