We had a fantastic day in Tokyo with Dai. There was not a question about the city or about Japanese culture that he could not answer. We learned so much in one day that we would have never been able to otherwise! He showed us a perfect mix between historic sites and modern neighborhoods. We highly recommend Dai as a guide.

We took Harry’s “Discover Your Roots” tour, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. I knew a little about the parts of Okinawa my great-grandparents were from, but Harry helped me uncover so much more. He did research ahead of time, contacting the community centers where they once lived and suggesting I reach out to the Okinawa Prefectural Library. Our first stop was the library, where a researcher shared fascinating records about my ancestors. Then we visited each of their hometowns— and in one, I even met relatives I didn’t know existed! Thanks to Harry’s interpreting and thoughtful guidance, I was able to have heartfelt conversations and truly connect with my family’s history. An unforgettable, deeply meaningful day!

We were visiting Japan from the U.S. to connect with my family’s roots and needed a guide who could drive us to a specific location in Kajiki, Kagoshima, where my family lived before WWII. Eiji not only took us there but went above and beyond—speaking with local residents and business owners to help us find someone who actually remembered my family. Hearing stories about them was truly magical and unforgettable. He also showed us beautiful natural sites in the area. Eiji made this day one of the most meaningful parts of our entire trip. Highly recommend!
