Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. Hello! My name is Tadashi. I was born and raised in Fukuoka and I've lived here all my life. I used to work for a local bank where I was mainly involved in export, import, and foreign exchange, etc. Afterwards I joined a university where I taught international economics and foreign trade for five years. I'm happy to arrange your tour plans according to your requests and help you to write your own unique story with me. If you're coming to Fukuoka for the first time, I recommend Tochoji Temple, Kushida Shrine and Fukuoka Castle Ruins where you can get feel for Japanese culture and history. Thirty minutes away from the center by train is Dazaifu. There you can enjoy a very famous shrine, Dazaifu Tenmangu, known as the home of " the god of literature or calligraphy." and Kyushu National Museum. Fukuoka is also a mecca for shopping and food. If you're coming to Fukuoka again, I recommend that you try local food, for example, Hakata Ramen-noodles in pork broth and locally caught fish. I can also take you to a traditional Japanese shopping arcade, Kawabata Shotengai. If you would like to get out of the city, we could go to Yanagawa, a town of canals, which is a one hour ride from the city center. You can try boat tours enjoying the leisurely view of the historic buildings and try Steamed Eel. Fukuoka travel tip: if you arrive in Fukuoka by JR, make sure to get off at "Hakata Station." Sorry, there's no "Fukuoka Station." on JR lines. Hakata is an old name for Fukuoka and your destination. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

“Rainy day in Kyoto”
It was a rainy day in Kyoto but it didn't stop us from enjoying our tour with Takashi. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and flexible. We definitely would not have explored the cool back alleys and streets of Gion without him. He also took us to an excellent casual local spot for lunch. It was a ton a walking and everyone in our family was exhausted by the end of the day, but very worthwhile. Thanks Takashi for a great day!

“seeing Kyoto with Fumi”
Fumi is friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the stories and legends she shared with us in each attraction site. Our trip was almost completely ruined by the wet weather when it rains quite heavily when we got to Kinkaku-ji, but thank God the rain did not last long so we still managed to tour all the planned attraction spots in one day (Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama Bamboo forest, Tenryu-ji temple, Togetsukyo bridge, Kiyomizu, and Gion). There were a lot of walking but we had memorable time with the experiences she shared with us walking through the streets.

“Memorable day in Kochi”
We arrived in Kochi on a cruise and were looking for a custom tour for our family. Hideo created a personalized itinerary based on exactly what we wanted to see. Since public transportation in Kochi is limited, he arranged a private car for us, which made getting around easy and comfortable. Hideo was very knowledgeable, especially about the history of Kochi Castle, and he helped us navigate around the Ryugado Caves and translated the many Japanese signs in the caves for us—something we really appreciated. His kindness made our visit to Kochi truly memorable. We were very happy with our experience and would recommend Hideo as a tour guide!

I'm very glad to receive your excellent review. Kochi castle is one of the 12 castles that were built until 1867 and today still exists. From the observatory floor, we could command a panoramic view of Kochi city. Ryugado Cave is one of the top three lime stone caves in Japan. We explored 1-km cave to see various shapes of stalactite such as "Water fall of the Flying Dragon", "Jewelly Stone", "Beaded Screen Waterfall" and the like.
