Hello! I’m Koichiro. Please call me “Yamasan”. It derives from my family name and my friends call me so. I worked for a machinery company as a project manager and engineer for mechanical and electrical construction projects both domestic and overseas for over 35 years. I recall my first overseas project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when I was 26, and the second was in Singapore. I visited many countries for surveys, meetings, commissioning, project handing over, and so on. In 2014 at the age of 60, I decided to retire from the company and live the expected further 30 years of life with a new career and experiences. I, then, studied translation and guide interpretation. I passed the national examination for licensed guides (English) in 2015 and registered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in February 2016. Until now, I have been guiding many beautiful guests mainly to popular sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Omote-Sando, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Tokyo Skytree, and also cultural experiences of Origami making, Furoshiki wrapping, and Sushi cooking. I am happy that I can freely arrange a customized tour together with you, or can propose my tours to you. I want to show you some parts of daily Tokyo life and introduce you to Bunkyo City which is located in the heart of Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live a happy life now. Now, we can tour around the world but have not yet overcome COVID-19 completely. Recently, the number of passengers wearing masks on public transportation in Tokyo reduced to some 25% but we should mind about it still. Please carry your mask to wear it where or when necessary (December 2024, Yamasan).

Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Fukui Dinosaur Museum is very popular regardless of age. It is one of the world's three largest dinosaurs. Echizen is also well known for Japan's handmade crafts including kitchen knives, washi paper, lacquer wares, Tansu chests and pottery. Seeing craftsmen's work right in front of you makes you excited and impressed. I have been travelling Kanazawa since my high school age so I know well about the town to show you around as well as Shirakawago, a day trip from Kanazawa. I have worked in the multi-national organizations including UN agency for around 30 years and stationed at various cities including Rome, Bangkok and Hanoi. Hi! I'm Koichi. I was born in Osaka, I studied in Kyoto when I was a university student. Now I live in Shiga next to Kyoto. I am a national government licensed tour guide. Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. “A Perfect Day in Kyoto”
Lisa planned an excellent itinerary that took us to several remarkable sites throughout Kyoto. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history and traditions, answering every question with both expertise and personal insight. “Great experience!!”
We met with Akira for three days in Tokyo. He was fantastic! We experienced Tokyo as locals and not tourists… just as we requested. He took us to places from local coffee shops in quiet neighborhoods to great restaurants in the city where locals dine. His communication with us was great both before and during our visit. He was flexible in altering our tours if we wanted. We walked, took subways, trains, and streetcars all around Tokyo. Thank you for an incredible experience in exploring and experiencing Tokyo.

“Mit Yukiko Tokio auf Deutsch erleben”
Wir haben 2 Tage mit Yukiko in Tokio verbracht. Yukiko hat das Programm vorher mit uns abgestimmt und ist auf unsere Wünsche vor Ort gut eingegangen. So hat sie uns beim Fahrkarten Erwerb für den Shinkansen geholfen und alles geduldig erklärt. Sie spricht gut Deutsch und ist ruhig und verlässlich für uns da gewesen. Mit interessanten Beispielen hat sie uns Japan und die Religionen erklärt. Wir können Yukiko sehr empfehlen.
