Hiroshima: A journey of memory, Resilience and Peace
If you are visiting Hiroshima to learn about peace, I truly hope you will experience something deeper than simply walking through the Peace Memorial Museum. Hiroshima is not only a place of tragedy, but also a city of resilience, compassion, and recovery. On this tour, I will take you not only to the famous landmarks, but also to special hidden places —such as Schmoe House—places that reveal the lesser-known stories of Hiroshima and make your experience truly personal and unforgettable.

Rabbit Island
Rabbit Island is home to hundreds of friendly bunnies who approach tourists for food. Once this island was secluded as a secret base of the Imperial Japanese Army to produce lethal gas during WW II. And because of the poison gas development, it is thought that the test subjects included rabbits. After the war, the island restored peace and got well overrun by bunnies to become a Heaven of rabbits. Please enjoy being mobbed by adorable creatures and the beautiful nature there.

Hiroshima Tour Reviews

“Pancho is the best!!”
We had the most wonderful day with Pancho! Our group of 8 (ranging from age 13-73) all thoroughly enjoyed our day. Pancho is very knowledgeable, friendly and fun! We were initially going to just explore Miyajima and Hiroshima on our own, but we are so glad that we were able to spend the day with Pancho. There were countless things we would have missed out on. Go with Pancho - he’s the best!

“Mijyajima, one of the highlights of our trip”
Miyu was fantastic! She customized the half-day in Miyajima to our interests and the weather. She did not mind getting a little bit of rain with us! Her knowledge of the area and the care she takes for her group are among her best assets as a guide.

Miyu F.
Thank you so much for your kind and generous words. Although we weren't able to hike Mt. Misen because of the rain, I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time on Miyajima. Your thoughtful comments encourage me to continue sharing the beauty and charm of Hiroshima with visitors from around the world.

“Miyajima: The magic of the island and the momiji manju making that Kay made memorable through her translation help, with her warm, kid-friendly way shining through.”
Our day on Miyajima with Kay was pure magic. From the floating torii gate to wandering the island, she brought everything to life with her knowledge and warmth. The highlight was making momiji manju an experience that could have been lost in translation, but Kay was right there helping us communicate every step of the way, turning it into one of the most memorable and fun moments of our entire trip. Our son still talks about it. Once again, Kay's way with our son made all the difference. She has a natural ability to challenge and engage kids while making them feel completely comfortable, treating him with the same care she'd give her own child. She continued helping us hunt for the souvenir we were after and offered thoughtful recommendations throughout the day that we never would have found on our own. Kay is the kind of guide who makes you feel like you're exploring with a friend who happens to know absolutely everything.

Keiko K.
The Momiji Manju baking experience was a lot of fun, wasn't it? It had actually been a while since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautifully the facility had been renovated. It was wonderful to see your son enjoying the experience, and I was also impressed by how quickly you picked up the baking (or cooking) process. Freshly baked Momiji Manju that you've made yourself always tastes extra special. One of the most unforgettable moments for me was seeing your son's smile at the aquarium. The video he captured of a stingray catching and eating a fish was absolutely incredible! I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend such a fun-filled day with your wonderful family. Warm regards, Kay
