My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors. Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers. I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

“Customised luxury tour for senior executive groups”
Keiko is one of the most cheerful and professional guides I've ever met with passion and full of knowledge in understanding various cultures outside Japan. I asked her for guiding our group of seniors who have different backgrounds from Singapore and Canada according to customised itinerary meeting our requests, however she was so helpful and supportive in organising such a tour without any hesitations. My friends from Singapore and Canada were truly satisfied with her guidance throughout the tour and especially detailed introductions on the bus with her perfect English explanations, it was sincerely appreciated and impressed by them. I really recommend her, if you are inbound tourists to Japan and if you need an English speaking guide with understanding of different perspectives and cultures rich in experiences of communicating with people from all over the world. I truly confirm your stay in Japan becomes one of your memorial visits, once you ask her to guide in Hiroshima.

“Made our hald-day trip a perfection”
She showed full flexibility and good heart when we requested a last-minute change. She is truly knowledgeable about history/culture, and also good at groumet information. This is my first time to book a Japan tour through GoWithGuide, and it made me sure we can do more with our family trip likewise, for kid's education. This turned to be a successful case for us. Thanks to her advise, we successfully made our quickest way back to the hotel. She even advised on our visit to Atomic Bomb menorial park for the next day without her. This makes her value.
