Communication beforehand was prompt and warm; the itinerary felt custom-built rather than off-the-shelf. She has a rare instinct for pace — knowing when to linger and when to move on — and a quiet attentiveness that my mother noticed and appreciated. And she is genuinely brilliant company: conversation wandered from sumo to food to Japanese culture with the ease of someone who loves the city and loves talking about it. “One Day in Tokyo with Kaneo U.”

Before our tour, Kaneo was very responsive planning the day. We discussed our interests and Kaneo planned out a schedule to see the sights we were most interested in seeing. Our tour was a combination of walking and using public transportation. We also enjoyed a tea house which served matcha and later a sushi lunch. Kaneo explained the sights and answered our questions. We would recommend Kaneo if you are looking for a guide.

Thank you for your really quick and good review. I am happy to know you are satisfied with my guiding. Without rain we could have enjoyed the tour more. But we could enjoy seeing rather quieter rainy Tokyo, in a sense.
