“Exceptional tour through busy Tokyo”

I was grateful that Ritsuko worked with me to take her standard first time tour and tailor it to my interests. We met over breakfast and she quickly made us feel comfortable. Walking through Asakusa, she narrated our surroundings and pointed out shops and areas of interests. We really enjoyed seeing and learning about Tokyo’s past when we walked through Ueno Park. Walking through the Yanaka area allowed us to see a slower side of Tokyo (despite it being Golden Week). While this wasn’t part of her regular tour, we appreciated the break at Cafe Reissue where we got some custom designed 3D foam lattes. Ritsuko is a good listener and uses what we say to point out any interesting things that we would have overlooked if we were by ourselves. During the tour, we peppered her with questions and that was extremely helpful for the following days we were on our own. We strongly recommend Ritsuko as your guide through Tokyo!

“We were so happy we decided to go with Grant and GoWithGuide”

We had to make a last minute adjustment when our cruise line had to change port locations. Grants communications were excellent and he pivoted to met us at our new meeting location. As older travelers, grant kept a pace that we could manage without issue. The day we spent with Grant was an excellent introduction to Tokyo and gave us a much deeper appreciation of Tokyo’s rich history, food culture, and incredible transportation system. Grant took us to his favorite small local sushi place for lunch (excellent), sampled historic brandy and challenged us to try a delicacy of sliced horse meat. We visited historic temples, shopped the local street markets, and he invited us to try some amazing flavor-covered nuts and sweets that were fabulously delicious. Grant gave us an introduction to the subway system, helped us to purchase a Suica card, and showed us how to maneuver through one of the world’s largest metro systems. After a great day, we then finished our tour walking the Shabuya Crossing and enjoying a relaxing moment sampling some fine Japanese whiskey’s. Grants knowledge of the Japanese language, history, food, and drink made this one of the most informative days on our trip. We look forward to meeting him again in the future.

Vladislav, vielen Dank fuer deinen netten Kommentar. Wir haben sicherlich sehr viel gemacht. Nicht nur alte Kulturgueter sondern such einige moderne Stadtteilen haben wir besucht. Wahrscheinlich wart ihr sehr muede. Aber ich freue mich, dass es euch sehr gefallen hat. Masao
