We worked with Kaneo to pick us up at our Tokyo hotel and help us navigate the 3 trains necessary to get to Hakone. It was a little more money, but much less stress. He had been very flexible in working with us to tailor his standard tour option to our circumstances, and his knowledge about the time and effort to do what we wanted was very helpful. We also had a chance to visit a woodworking craftsman's workshop at the end of the tour, and ended up buying a wonderful woodcut of Mt Fuji which now hangs on our wall. Highly recommended!

Thank you for a good review. It was my first experience to use a bullet train to Hakone. It was amazingly fast! When we left Hakone, you made me know we could see Mt. Fuji. It was a rare occasion to see it in the afternoon. I think the woodcraft you bought brought Mt. Fuji to us. Thank you again for giving me a wonderful time with you.

“Haru is exceptional!”

Haru has deep roots in Kanazawa. One of the beautiful gardens we toured with her - the best we saw in all Japan in the 8 cities we visited on our trip - was owned by Haru's ancestors back in the 1600s. As a result, her pride, knowledge, and insights in the city are exemplary. Yet since she spent several years in America, her English communications skills are exceptional - she speaks clearly, interacts intentionally, and clearly enjoys being able to showcase her hometown, which we enjoyed even more than Kyoto (though that was fantastic as well). She's also prompt, flexible, and cheerful. I can't recommend her highly enough. Great tour!

“Ken Amazing Tour guide”

Our experience in Japan was without doubt enhanced so much by Ken and all his help, kindness and guidance that made the very best of our time with him and his lovely wife (Satchi). What a wonderful ambassador he is for his country and his knowledge of his country and its history is amazing. He is super professional as well as funny and being around him and his wife was just a joy for us.
