“The best start to our Tokyo trip”

Atsuko was absolutely wonderful and the perfect start to our family trip. She met us right at our door and led us on a relaxed half-day through Omotesando, Takeshita Street, Meiji Jingu, and Cat Street, ending at Shibuya. It was our first full day and a few of us were jet-lagged, and she set a gentle, easy pace that worked beautifully for our group of adults and two teenagers. Beyond the sights, she helped us get comfortable navigating the trains, which made the rest of our week so much easier. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. “An Unforgettable and Meaningful Day in Hiroshima ”

This review is long overdue, but our time with Miyu-san in Hiroshima back in June was such a meaningful part of our trip to Japan that I couldn't let any more time pass without sharing our experience. Before our visit, she took the time to ask about our family's interests and thoughtfully created an itinerary that was perfect for us. Unfortunately, due to poor planning on our end, we had to significantly shorten our tour at the last minute. Miyu-san could not have been more gracious or understanding. She immediately adjusted our plans and made sure we were able to experience the places she felt were most important with the limited time we had. She was incredibly efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Her knowledge of Hiroshima, World War II, and the atomic bombing far exceeded our expectations. What made the experience even more powerful was hearing her personal stories and perspective from having previously worked with survivors of the bombing. She helped us understand the history on a much deeper and more human level than we ever could have experienced on our own. Despite the very serious history we were learning about, Miyu-san was incredibly warm, personable, and funny. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her and was wonderful with our entire family. We only wish our mistake hadn't shortened the time we were able to spend with her! Even with fewer hours than originally planned, Miyu-san made every minute count and gave us an experience we will never forget. If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Miyu-san enough. Having her guide us through such an important part of history added so much meaning to our visit. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness, flexibility, knowledge, and the personal stories she shared with us. Thank you, Miyu-san!
