Our guide, Akira, didn’t simply show us places, but gently revealed the city’s rhythm and a new way of seeing it. We also discovered how different spiritual ways of thinking can exist side by side in a natural, almost effortless harmony. Intelligent, full of empathy and just the right amount of intrigue. Thank you for letting us glimpse the city behind the surface we will be looking at Tokyo differently from now on.

Some days stay with you… this was one of them. Yasuhiro was already there waiting for us — with a kindness that feels rare, and a beautiful, heartwarming gift prepared by his family. Such a small gesture, yet it set the tone for everything that followed. What we appreciated most was the way he guided us — thoughtful, insightful, and very natural. He shared things gradually, always keeping it engaging, with a particularly deep knowledge of the local vegetation. And somehow… he even managed to “arrange” the clouds just in time, so we wouldn’t miss that first, breathtaking glimpse of Mount Fuji. Cherry blossoms framed the day in full bloom, quietly reminding us how fleeting and beautiful everything is.

“Great tour with Yoshi ”

We did a morning tour with Yoshi on our first morning in Tokyo. He met us at our hotel and we travelled on the subway. We chose to see the Imperial Gardens with the cherry blossoms, the Meiji shrine, Takeshita Street for novelties and the Shibuya crossing. We all had lunch at the shrine. Yoshi shared some interesting history and information about the various landmarks. He walks quite quickly so would advise telling him when you want to stop to take in a site or take photos. Overall, a great introduction to Tokyo for us
