Review of Our Cairo Birthday Tour

Sunday, December 7 – Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx Starting at a comfortable 11:00 AM, our group was greeted by Hussein, a professional German-speaking guide who brought the ancient wonders to life with fascinating stories and historical context. Standing before the Pyramids and the Sphinx was awe-inspiring, and the guide’s ability to explain both the grandeur and the cultural significance made the visit unforgettable. The pacing was perfect—no rush, just enough time to soak in the atmosphere and capture memorable photos. Monday, December 8 – Grand Egyptian Museum Private Tour The highlight of the second day was the private tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Beginning again at 11:00 AM, we had the luxury of exploring Tutankhamun’s treasures and countless other artifacts without feeling overwhelmed. The guide’s expertise and clear explanations in German made the exhibits accessible and engaging. The museum itself is a marvel of modern architecture, and the private setting allowed us to enjoy the treasures at our own pace. Tuesday, December 9 – Birthday Celebration & Sound & Light Show Due to a Government Event the show was cancelled short notice, but Ahmed provided several alternatives - we ultimately decided to go Freestyle and chose the Le Petit Chef dinner while transportation was managed by the agency. All in all a very good decision, everybody enjoyed themselves. Overall Impression This three-day program was exceptionally well-organized, balancing sightseeing with relaxation. The German-speaking guide added immense value, ensuring everyone felt included and informed. The itinerary struck the right balance between cultural immersion and personal enjoyment, making it ideal for both first-time visitors and those celebrating a special occasion. Rating: 5/5 – Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and personalized Cairo experience.

Yamanashi Day trip

Right after exiting Kofu station Moto san, has been very thoughtful and informative on history and culture on Yamanashi. During the trip I have had an amazing experience that I will never forget from the views of Fuji, the lakes, and sake brewery. I would highly recommend him as a guide if you want to discover Yamanashi. I will definitely book with him again on my next trip to Japan.

Kagoshima Hihjlights Shore Excursion with Eiji

We booked a tour with Eiji, labelled as Kagoshima Highlights, and slightly modified it to remove items of little interest. Eiji was ready and waiting for us by the information desk in the cruise terminal, and after introductions, we were on the move to visit Sengan-en, a historic Japanese garden and former residence of the Shimazu clan. The drive took around 40 minutes, and we easily beat all the ship's tours, so it was relatively empty when we arrived. It was a really nice place to visit with its beautiful gardens and house, complete with a spectacular view of Sakurajima. The house dates back to the 1700s and, with the gardens, is now a UNESCO Heritage site. Once we had finished our tour, it was back in the car for a quick photo stop at Shiroyama Park observatory, which provided a great panorama of Kagoshima town and Sakurajima. It was then back to Kagoshima for a spot of lunch, which was in a little vegan cafe called Cafe Indigo and run by a lady single-handedly. It's a set meal which started with soup, then followed by a platter of vegan Japanese bites. It was really tasty, and Nicole was chuffed to bits with it. She even had a Soy Chai tea for the first time, and Eiji, who has a keen interest in food, accepted our invitation to join us, seemed to be impressed with the offerings. From there, it was a 10-minute walk to the ferry, where we enjoyed the 15-minute ride to Sakurajima. On arrival, we took a nice walk along part of the Nagisa Lava Trail and experienced some more great panoramas of Kagoshima and the volcano. On the return leg, Nicole took the opportunity to take the foot bath in Sakurajima Yogan Nagisa Park afterwards. Before taking the ferry back, we took a look around the visitor's centre, which was a short walk from the ferry terminal. Eiji then brought us back to the ship, where we thanked him for the day and said our goodbyes. We can thoroughly recommend Eiji, he is great company and was able to provide us with a memorable day in Kagoshima
