This tour was highly informative while being casual. It felt like a walk and conversation with an old friend. Mariana has a way to weave history, politics and culture so the city comes to life. She shared information on key historical moments as well as tidbits about arts and daily life in the city. “Sunshine and Blossoms - Kamakura”

Day 3 was a gloriously sunny Monday. After the snow and wind the day before, it was a welcomed site. Kaneo helped me complete some banking business first thing and then we headed off to visit temples in Kamakura. On the train to Kamakura I had a great view of Mt. Fuji!!! We saw early blossoms on plum, cherry and other trees, went into the belly of the Great Buddha, had my favorite lunch, and experienced Matcha tea in a bamboo forest amongst other things. Kaneo made my whole visit a success from start to finish.
